Tiger Woods is on the verge of announcing his new clothing line after posting about the unveiling date he will be setting on a private social media account ahead of the Genesis Invitational.
Woods has been wearing Nike since 20 years as a professional and wore the brand for all 15 of his major victories, only because their contract – for 27 years – ended last year.
The 15-year-old CEO released a statement last month confirming the end of the deal, where he said: “People will ask if there is another chapter. Yes, there will be another chapter. See you in LA!”
Expressing Los Angeles was nodding to the Genesis Invitational from February 15-18 – stay on Sky Sportswhere he is the leader of the tournament and is expected to appear for the first time in 2024, Woods has since indicated that he will announce on Monday.
Woods wrote briefly on X, formerly known as Twitter, where he said: “The vision remains the same. 2.12.24.”
Woods’ ‘Tiger Red’ look is similar to the last round, with reports suggesting the color may be linked to his future apparel. TaylorMade, which Woods has been using since 2016 for golf clubs, reportedly filed a trademark under the name ‘Sunday Red.’
The Genesis Invitational is one of the PGA Tour’s Signature Events, with fewer events and more money, Woods is expected to take one of the four available to complete the series.
Adam Scott, Justin Thomas and Will Zalatoris have already been confirmed as exempt assistants, and Woods is now expected to be named as the final player when the court is released on Friday evening.
Woods used last year’s event to make his first PGA Tour appearance outside of the game since the Zozo Championship in October 2020, has struggled with injuries in recent years and has played fewer games since a February 2021 car accident.
That event was when Woods made his PGA Tour debut as a 16-year-old in 1992.
What should we expect from Woods in 2024?
Woods finished 18th at the Hero World Challenge in December, his first start since undergoing ankle surgery after withdrawing from The Masters in April, then teamed with son Charlie to finish fifth at the PNC tournament later that month.
The 48-year-old has said he is looking for a ‘one-month tournament’ in the coming season, with an appearance at the Riviera and an event at Florida Swing – which could be The Players – set to begin before the big season. Masters from April 11-14.
Woods can play in the PGA Championship from May 16-19 at Valhalla, where he lifted the Wanamaker Trophy in 2000 as part of the ‘Tiger Slam’, although he does not currently have an automatic qualification for the US Open next month.

The USGA could offer Woods an opportunity if he fails to secure a spot for himself in the coming months, with the former world No 1 then able to compete at The 152nd Open this July.
