The Tahoe City Harvest Festival will be held Saturday, October 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Tahoe City Community Center, 401 West Lake Blvd. The event is free, but all-inclusive wristbands are available for $20 each. (Includes unlimited hayrides, activities and games); Food truck items sold separately.

Bring your kids of any age to the new Town Company Yard for an up-close, hands-on experience with heavy equipment. Explore the town’s company yards and watch local contractors and agencies display large trucks, a CHP helicopter take off and land, meet the Smoky Bear, and TDPUD will set up a photo booth with fun themed backdrops and costumes.

Historic downtown Truckee comes to life on this colorful tour, featuring stories of railroad tycoons, lumber mills, ice harvesters, movie stars and other characters from the past.
