African Dance Guinea Style with Nuria

Community event with live drumming! welcome everybody!

African dance classes will be held on Saturday, October 21, from 5 to 8 pm at the Veterans Hall, 10214 High Street, Truckee. Drumming will take place from 5 to 6 p.m., and the dance portion will take place from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m. Drum Lessons-$20/Dance Lessons-$40/Combo Lessons-$50. Purchase tickets at Innerrhythms.org.



Tahoe City Harvest Festival

Get ready for a fall event like no other! The Harvest Festival promises a host of family-friendly events to bring the magic of autumn to life. Join TCPUD at the Tahoe City Community Center for the return of our special fall events, including carnival-style games, rock walls, bounce houses, hay rides, and more!



The Tahoe City Harvest Festival will be held Saturday, October 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Tahoe City Community Center, 401 West Lake Blvd. The event is free, but all-inclusive wristbands are available for $20 each. (Includes unlimited hayrides, activities and games); Food truck items sold separately.

Bring your kids of any age to the new Town Company Yard for an up-close, hands-on experience with heavy equipment. Explore the town’s company yards and watch local contractors and agencies display large trucks, a CHP helicopter take off and land, meet the Smoky Bear, and TDPUD will set up a photo booth with fun themed backdrops and costumes.

Big Truck Day will be held Saturday, October 21, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Town Corporation Yard, 10969 Stevens Lane, Truckee. free.

Tribute to Duran Duran

Tradition and evolution! D3 delivered a first-rate tribute to their beloved namesake, exciting legions of die-hard fans (“Duranies”).

A tribute show to Duran Duran will be held on Saturday, October 21, from 8 to 11 pm in the Crystal Bay Club Crown Room, 14 NV-28 Crystal Bay. Tickets start at $15. 21+. Go to Tixr.com Tickets.

Truckee Historical Walking Tour

Historic downtown Truckee comes to life on this colorful tour, featuring stories of railroad tycoons, lumber mills, ice harvesters, movie stars and other characters from the past. Pass unique shops and restaurants while learning about Truckee’s famous and infamous past. This tour includes architecture, history, stories, fables and facts.

The Truckee History Walk will be held on Monday, October 23 from 4:30 to 5:30 pm at 10065 Donner Pass Rd., Truckee.
