Sunflower Health Plan and Centene Foundation announce $390,000 grant to LADD Smart Living
Partnership with Kansas provides opportunity for increased independence intellectual and developmental disabilities
Lenexa, Kansas, February 1, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Sunflower Health Plan (“Sunflower”) is a managed care organization established to provide quality health care services to the state Kansas The Centene Foundation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Centene Corporation (NYSE: CNC) and the philanthropic arm of Centene Corporation, announced today $390,000 Grants to Living Arrangements for People with Developmental Disabilities (“LADD”) bring smart living models to people in Kansas with intellectual and developmental disabilities (“IDD”). LADD’s smart living model leverages technology and training to increase independence and promote high-quality care.
The partnership with LADD will involve initial collaboration with Johnson County Development Support (“JCDS”) Lenexa, Kansasand Cottonwood, Inc., in Lawrence, Kansas, who will help coordinate and monitor implementation through their accommodation services. The partnership aims to provide technology and support to give IDD members more options to live in the most integrated environment possible in the community of their choice.
