After picking up good points at Mainz 05 and Heidenheim, Wolfsburg would have had the chance to send struggling FC Koln crashing out in the Volkswagen Arena last weekend.

However, Niko Kovacpart fell back Faride Alidoustrike seven minutes before halftime, and Kevin Paredes quickly restore parity after two minutes. Despite 14 shots in the contest, Wolves were unable to find a winner in the end.

Amazingly, Wolfsburg only drew one of the 16 games before the winter break, but they still drew three of those games. Although they have no fear of relegation, a home run of just two of their last 13 games has dented their European hopes.

This will be especially painful after they had Europa League qualification in their hands on the final day of last season, only to lose at home to Hertha Berlin and fall out of the top seven overall. A win on Sunday could see them top of the table, though, with more time to turn their fortunes around.

Likewise, Hoffenheim’s form has sunk significantly in the last three months, and Pellegrino MatarazzoThe team has collected only seven points in the last 10 games.

However, let’s not forget that the former Stuttgart manager saved Hoffenheim from relegation when he took charge last February, so winning four of their opening five games this season is always going to be difficult to cope with.

After losing consecutive games to Bayern Munich and Freiburg in their first games back from the winter break, Die Kraichgauer managed to stop the rot against Heidenheim in the final. Eren Dinki gave the newly promoted side the lead before half an hour, but Andrej Kramarić converted a penalty in the seventh minute of injury time in the first half.

In the open game, Matarazzo destroyed that his team could not throw seven shots on the target to be more than one goal, and the goalkeeper of Heidenheim. Kevin Muller to act in a special way. If Hoffenheim can play in Lower Saxony on Sunday, there is every chance they can win.

We say: Wolfsburg 1-1 Hoffenheim

With both teams drawing 1-1 last weekend, it may seem lazy to predict the result again, but there is very little to separate the two sides.

Only Bayern Munich have kept Hoffenheim clean this season, while Wolfsburg have only failed to score three times, so we expect to see both goals.
