Stillman ‘Leading Sector in Business Education’
Schools included in the Best Undergraduate Business Schools list are “at the cutting edge of business education, providing learning experiences that transform students’ sense of who they are and what they can do in the world,” the authors of the rankings said.

Seton Hall’s Stillman School of Business ranks in the top 12 percent for inclusion on the list; his ranking of 61 places him in the top 7 percent nationally.

“We are proud to be recognized again Poets and Quants among the top business schools in the country,” said Stillman School of Business Dean Joyce Strawser. “We are particularly pleased with the Academic Experience indicators in this ranking. These indicators measure our graduates and their success – and there is no greater testament to the power of a Seton Hall degree than our graduates.”

according to Poets and Quants,

P&Q’s undergraduate business school rankings are based on three categories that we believe best measure the undergraduate B-school experience: the quality and diversity of students entering the program (Admission Standards); B-school’s ability to nurture, challenge and nurture young minds (Academic Experience); and how the market and the world’s top employers react to those graduates when they leave school (Career Outcomes). Each category is given equal weightage in the final score of 33.3%.

Reflecting its overall score, Seton Hall ranked 61st in Career Outcomes, with 67 percent of students completing a business-related internship before graduation and 90.63 percent being employed full-time within three months of graduation. In Admission Standards, the school ranked 67th in SAT scores (Seton Hall is an SAT optional school) and Acceptance Rate, with a slight drop. Poets and Quants was “a little less picky”.

Academic Experience #35
The Stillman School ranked 35th in the nation, with the highest score in Academic Experience. The Academic Experience rating is based solely on responses from recent graduates that reflect their experiences. The authors note:

Data for our Academic Experience category is taken directly from alumni. Who better to appreciate how well their degree prepares them for life after college?

Our survey of 2024 graduates was conducted between June and December 2023. Surveys were sent to the Class of 2021 (students who graduated between July 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021) from each school we ranked.

Academic Performance: 35th in the nation
Ranked No. 35 for Academic Experience, Seton Hall ranks among the top performers in the nation based on alumni experience and responses. Additionally, this ranking makes Seton Hall the top business school in New Jersey and the No. 7 Catholic school in the country.

Two “Most Important” Questions: Top 35
Within a series of questions Poets and Quants Graduates are asked two years later if they combine importance and rank:

  • Would you recommend your business program to a close friend, colleague, or family member interested in an undergraduate business degree?
  • Evaluate how well the business program prepares you for the world of work.

Alumni responses to these questions rank Seton Hall 35th in the nation, highest in New Jersey, and behind only NYU, Fordham and Cornell in New York.

Alumni Network: Top 23
There are three questions Poets and Quants It differs and ranks (merges) based on the strength of an alumni network and the willingness of that network to offer opportunities to other alumni. Seton Hall is ranked 23rd in the country for this indicator. The 23rd-ranked university is tops in New Jersey and behind only Fordham and NYU in New York.

Climbing the Ladder/Career Preparation: Top 20
Three questions Poets and Quants To measure graduates’ confidence in the effectiveness of their business school experience as they enter the world of work, it separates them:

  • Did your business school experience change your life?
  • Do you believe your business degree will help you rise to a new socioeconomic status?
  • How effective do you believe your business degree will be in landing your dream career?

Poets and Quants combines these three answers into one ranking. In this career-related subcategory, Seton Hall ranks 20th in the nation. The 20th ranking makes Seton Hall the top in New Jersey, behind only Fordham, NYU and Cornell in New York.

Academic and Career Advice: Top 12
Finally, graduates were “asked to rate their school’s academic and career counseling services on a 10-point scale,” and were asked the following questions:

  • How would you rate the effectiveness of the business program’s academic advising?
  • How would you rate the effectiveness of the business program’s career counseling?

In that category, Stillman ranked 12th, the highest in New Jersey and ahead of Notre Dame, Wharton and several other schools.
