Natrona County Health and Food Inspections (1/29/24–2/4/24)

CASPER, Wyo. — The Casper-Natrona County Health Department is inspecting restaurants, grocery stores, convenience stores, mobile food stores, commissaries and food vending operations. Each facility conducts unannounced inspections at least twice a year.

“Violations are divided into three categories: priority violations, priority base violations and core violations,” the department said.

While the Department of Health is looking for deficiencies, the organization’s main goal is to educate businesses and help them understand unsafe practices and how to correct them.

“There is no sliding scale or pass or fail for health inspections,” said the Natrona County Environmental Health Program Manager. Each violation is fixed immediately or within 10 days, meaning the violation does not make the business unsafe.

If a re-inspection is needed, the problem may be more serious or the facility may need more time to correct the problem. They have 10 days to fix the problem, and according to Heald, most facilities can easily comply.

Any serious violations or noteworthy citations will be included in the summary notes below, but a full report for each restaurant can be found on the department’s website, where all current information is posted.
