Mike Whitehead, youngest CEO, is leaving Tepper Sports & Entertainment

Tepper Sports & Entertainment SVP/CFO MIKE WHITEHEAD has left his position, the organization confirmed. Whitehead’s hiring was announced in March after he came on board in 2022 DAVID TEPPER C-suite, which has undergone numerous changes in recent years. Tepper S&E has hired a human resources consultant to find a replacement but declined to name the company. Whitehead will advise the organization during the transition, a spokesman said (Ben Fischer, SBJ).

SRJ Sports Investments, the sports arm of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, has been appointed CEO of the Australian Professional Leagues DANNY TOWNSEND to the same position. Townsend, who was a member of the SBJ’s Forty Under 40 list in 2015, previously worked for Sydney FC, Nielsen Sport and Repucom International (SWFI).

Atlanta United has named Adidas head of sports marketing for soccer in North America SARAH KATE NOFTSINGER Vice President and CBO. Noftsinger returns to the club having previously served as Head of Marketing & Fan Engagement before moving to Adidas in 2020. She will begin Nov. 6 and will report to Atlanta United’s president and CEO GARTH LAGERWEY (Atlanta United).

Greenfly named former meta head of partner solutions and global media partnerships JOSH SEMLESS Head of Business Analytics & Intelligence. Semless is among several meta leaders who joined Greenfly this year, including: PETER HUTTON, NICK SHAW And GABBY VIDAL CASTILLO (Green fly).

The Chargers named Dodgers SVP/Global Partnerships COREY NORKIN Chief Partnership Officer. Prior to spending four years with the Dodgers, Norkin held senior partnership and premium seating positions at Sportfive, Madison Square Garden Company, the NY Jets and the Royals (Charger).

CFL Saskatchewan Roughriders GM and VP/Football Operations JEREMY O’DAY had “agreed to a new contract” that was “scheduled to expire at the end of this season.” The 2024 season will be O’Day’s 26th season with the Riders and his sixth year as GM (Saskatoon STARPHOENIX, October 23rd).

The Mountain West has been named Associate Commissioner/Sports Administration & Championships of the West Coast Conference SEAN HARRIS to the same role. He will oversee the operations of all Olympic sports championships and serve as a sports administrator for multiple sports. Harris previously worked with the Pac-12 for over eight years, most recently as Assistant Commissioner/Sports Management & Championships (Mountain West).

Octagon named former Winners Alliance Director of Player Marketing & Events JENNA NOBLES Senior Director She returns to Octagon, where she previously served as Marketing and Sales Manager for two years. Prior to her first stint with the agency in 2020, Nobles served as vice president/marketing at Dream Point Sports and manager of player services at the NFLPA (SBJ).
