First son Hunter Biden has called on the Justice Department to investigate allegations that former business partner Tony Bobulinski lied to federal investigators about his ties to the first family.

Lowell writes, “Even in an age where people know lies in order to repeat them and spread them for political advantage, Mr. Bobulinsky’s statements cannot and should not go unscrutinized.”

A month before the 2020 presidential election, Bobulinski, a U.S. Navy veteran, alleged that Joe Biden’s son and brother, Jim Biden, had ties to CEFC, a Chinese energy company that reportedly paid the Bidens $4.8 million in 2017 and 2018.

Bobulinski claims he spoke with Joe Biden about the CEFC deal with the Chinese government and called the then-candidate a “big man” because of a 10% cut in a new corporate entity.

Another Hunter Biden business partner, James Gilliar, also described Joe Biden as a “great guy.”

Lowell claims Bobulinski “made it all up,” and claims Bobulinski has no reason to believe the reference was a “big guy” or that he didn’t think it was his own, or that it was a reference to the vice president. President Joe Biden.”

He further claims in the letter that Bobulinsky did not attend a 2017 meeting in Miami where Hunter Biden, CEFC Chairman Ye Jianming and others discussed the China deal.

He added that the content of Lowell’s letter was “blatantly false” and accused the Biden family of “trying to weaponize the DOJ against me.”

The Republican-led House Oversight Committee has accused Hunter Biden’s legal team of trying to intimidate a potential Joe Biden impeachment witness by sending the letter.

“Hunter Biden and his legal team are once again attacking anyone who speaks out against the Bidens,” Oversight Committee X said in his post. “This time their target is Tony Bobulinski, a potential witness in our investigation.

“We will not tolerate witness intimidation. Despite the threat tactics of the Biden team, the truth will soon emerge. We will give Hunter a chance to clear the air and talk to us soon.”
