Dorit Kemsley is switched off Rumors and speculations when it comes to her marriage and possible infidelity with her husband Paul “PK” Kemsley.
In an exclusive interview at BravoCon in Las Vegas, Nevada, the 47-year-old said Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star spoke to ET’s Brice Sander about recent rumors about her marriage and an alleged affair with her close friend Kyle Richards’ husband, Mauricio Umansky.
Dorit firmly dismissed the speculation that her marriage to PK was on the rocks and shared why she decided to do so to give an explanation about their marriage. “We found out that they were going to release it and I…it’s just a rumor and hearsay and we really wanted to shut it down because it’s not true,” she told ET. “I know how these things build and grow.”
Dorit said she and PK have been “very open” about the problems in their marriage. “I’ve talked this season about the challenges we’ve had, and we’ve had a difficult few years after the home invasion,” she admitted. “I have been through a lot personally and of course it has affected our marriage. We were very honest and open about it. I just wanted people to know that this is a rumor. We are not separate; We’re not getting divorced. We’ve had a difficult couple of years and we’re still figuring things out, but we’re good.”
Dorit further addressed the rumors of an alleged affair with Mauricio. “Ridiculous. I mean, that’s honestly one of the rumors that I find so absolutely ridiculous that it hurts because they’re friends of ours,” she said. “PK and Mo are very close – very, very close. It’s the most absurd rumor ever. So when I hear things like that, it should make people believe and realize that you shouldn’t believe everything you read because it might be as ridiculous as…”This.”
Last month, Dorit and PK issued a statement to ET vehemently denying persistent rumors about their split. The couple, who have been married for eight years, confirmed that their marriage remains intact and strong despite some challenging years. They revealed that these challenges will be openly discussed in the upcoming 13th season of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
“We remain committed to resolving these issues as a united couple for our family,” the Kemsleys said in their joint message. “We have not separated and have no plans to do so. Rather, we focus on healing, creating change, and doing the things that many couples need to do at some point in their marriage.”
The couple also turned to their fans and asked them for understanding and support. “We would be grateful for everyone’s understanding,” their statement continued. “We are doing what we can to focus on the well-being of our family rather than spending our time dealing with rumors and hearsay that are not true.”
Rumors of a possible breakup between the Kemsleys recently circulated online, prompting a caller to inquire about the situation Watch what happens live with Andy Cohen when Dorit’s friends Kyle Richards and Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave were guests. Both women expressed surprise and said they had not heard of any plans to separate.
During the premiere on Wednesday of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills In season 13, Dorit confronted her co-star Erika Girardi, who had speculated at BravoCon the previous year that Dorit and PK might be headed for a breakup. Dorit expressed her hurt and disappointment, describing Erika’s comments as “vicious.”
Erika apologized and explained that she was asked a “shady question” and gave a “shady answer,” stressing that she was just putting on a show.
Responding to these rumors, Sutton Stracke also mentioned that there were rumors that PK had a woman with him during his time arrested for drunk driving in December 2021.
In addition, former RHOBA Actress Dana Wilkey claimed that Dorit and Mauricio were having an affair. Dorit harshly rebuked Dana on Instagram, accusing her of spreading false narratives and trying to tarnish people’s reputations.
Dorit and PK have been together for over a decade and dated for four years before tying the knot in March 2015. The couple have two children together, son Jagger, 8, and daughter Phoenix, 7.
Their social media accounts have often expressed their love for each other, with heartfelt anniversary posts and shared moments from their journey together. In one such post, Dorit explained, “We may not always have it all together, but together we have it all.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
